The Breakeven Point

I know what you are thinking.  Why are there a group of flamingo's and a pelican in this picture.  Well, it's sort of symbolic.  I'll explain.

I am sort of like that pelican right there standing on my two feet on a thin ledge.  The thin ledge symbolizes the break even point for Ali K Chocolates.   The Eid Mubarak Chocolates are selling now, and I can actually (gasp!) see the horizon on where my break even point lies.     What is a break even point you ask?

Well, its the point when you actually are becoming profitable.   Currently everything being sold is going directly to costs, and it takes most businesses time to get profitable.  I was pretty bummed to think that despite the success with selling the Eid Mubarak Chocolates, I still a long way off from any tangible profit.  That is until last night when I sat down and did a little analysis on all of it.  It turns out I am not quite as far as I imagined.

So, the flamingo's are the successful Fortune 500's I am aiming to become.  Clearly I have a long way to go (which is why it's a bit of a swim to get there in the picture, hehe).
